Computer and Science Labs

Our students write on computers, do research on computers, and communicate with one another on computers. Many of our students are more comfortable using technology than we are, and they produce better, more informed, and better articulated work when they have access to computers. Students learn how each chemical functions in Theory classes, and then gather hands on experience within the labs. Students see how each chemical extinguishing system is discharged, and learn where and when to use it. Students get practical hands-on experience in computer design tools. This high-tech training is excellent preparation for the many design jobs in the Fire Protection industry. The computer lab teaches students how to use various specialized fire protection software. There are three areas covered in this lab.

• Design area with AutoCAD (Computer Assisted Design): a tool used to design/draw building prints.

• Specialized sprinkler design software:

  • HydraCAD

  • SprinkCAD

  • AutoSprink

• Fire modeling software: used to model actual fires in order to predict results (i.e., gaseous concentration, time to exit).

The Library provides services and resources to support and enhance learning on-campus and by flexible delivery. Library facilities at each campus include quiet study areas, PCs, printing and photocopying, and Wi-Fi.

• The library's ebooks. The New Titles List is a complete list of new ebooks, books and DVDs added to the library and updated each month. New titles can be viewed by campus, subject and resource type (ebooks, books or DVDs).

Language Lab

This lab is the proud possessor of sophisticated equipment i.e. a computer and a two-way speaking system. The latter consists of a headphone which the learner can use to listen and speak into. In-built software and program of language learning are used to manipulate reading & listening in order to speak, write & listen better. This lab is certainly a learner-centric one, which provides the students an opportunity to speak and listen without hesitation.

FACULTY

The Schools have an extremely committed and qualified faculty that constantly strives to make learning a pleasurable experience for children and works to realize the potential of each child. The teachers constantly upgrade their professional skills through a multitude of In-house training program along with workshops conducted by other schools and experts. Workshops and orientations on a field as diverse as life's skills, subject enhancement to Effective Stress Management go a long way in equipping them to strike an admirable balance between home and the workplace and achieve success in both spheres..

AUDITORIUM

Social Convent School has an Fully air-conditioned, with a raked floor and normal seating capacity of 1240 (1270 with reduced size stage), the Auditorium is designed as a multi-purpose theatre. It is ideal for plenary conference sessions and lectures, but can also be used for films and stage performances. It is fitted with a wide range of AV equipment including data projector and a PA system, an experienced AV Technician is also always on hand. It has a large stage, but no natural daylight. Adjacent to the Auditorium, this fully air-conditioned room is suitable for registration, internet cafe, and speaker’s preparation or as a break out room for up to 40 people. It is also suitable for poster sessions and small exhibitions. With natural light, the room has excellent black-out facilities.

Transport

The school is maintaining an excellent fleet of comfortable, well maintained, air conditioned buses with trained staff. The school transport is provided to students on first-cum-first serve basis, subject to availability of seats. The main aim is to provide safe, comfortable and efficient service to our children.
There is no compromise with the safety aspects and guidelines are strictly adhered to.
With a view to keep the parents posted with the movement of the buses, the GPRS is fitted in the buses, SMS is generated on the mobiles of all the parents whose wards avail of the school transport regarding their child’s location, besides departure and arrival from school and respective stops and the child’s safety and comfort are of foremost importance to Social convent school
 

Cafeteria



For a pleasant and fruitful learning experience, it is important that the child takes proper nutrition. School Cafeteria ensures that children are served nutritious, healthy, hygienic and tasty meals and snacks. It helps the student to make healthy food choices. The School canteen serves:-
